Split Testing Your Offers

If you aren’t split testing your offers then you are missing the boat and not maximizing your traffic, list, and relationship with your customers

Simply making a copy of your call to action page and just tweaking it a tab can make a world or difference in your pocket.

You can do multi-variable testing but if your new to testing then just an A-B will be all you need to get started.

Next you will want to use Google’s  Website Optimizer program and set it up so that you direct a certain amount of traffic to different landing pages and then analyze the data.

For example:

  • Visitor 1 would get page A
  • Visitor 2 would get page B
  • Visitor 3 would get page A
  • Visitor 4 would get page B

The reason why I do this is because I want the most bang for my buck.  If I am spending my time and efforts to drive traffic to these pages then I want to make sure I have the best conversions possible and not just hope that it’s working.

You can continue to always better your landing page. Get the best of the two and then create a new landing page and test it against that.   I would keep doing this until I have a pretty decent conversion.

This is extremely important to know if you are trying to figure what each of your visitors are worth.   Having these numbers will allow you to scale your business and to me, that’s what it’s all about.
