Sometimes Good is Good Enough

You’re a perfectionist. Okay and that matters why?  That shouldn’t hold you from getting started.  You may be trying to create your first blog post, first product, or what ever and what’s holding you back is waiting for it to be perfect.  That’s a huge mistake, sometimes good is good enough.

What I mean by that is you need to get it started and then get ‘er done.  Do the best you can and tweak it later.  Have you ever noticed that new updates/versions of operation systems and applications occur all the time.  Well if they had to wait until everything was perfect then you would never been able to use it.

So get started, try it out and see what happens.  If what you are trying to do doesn’t work then fix it.  Simplicity is key.  Anytime you over analyze  you are just delaying something that could have been good enough from the beginning.  Great example, when I first started blogging on another site of mine I was too busy trying to find the best themes and plugins and that kept me from writing.

Why couldn’t I just have left it to the default theme and just do what I enjoyed doing and just write and do my posts like normal?  It’s because I thought I needed the moon to be lined up and all that other jazz, which is total nonsense.  Now I am not saying to put up garbage, I am just saying that you need to do something instead of waiting for perfection.

If you are trying to make money online you will see that it’s always going to be a learning thing.  Search engines change their algorithms all the time and the longer you wait to do something you will just be left behind.

Here are a few things to think about to help you get started and know when good is good enough:

  • Will what you have at this moment make sense to whomever your potential client is?
  • Can they use it without having the need for any other pieces to it?
  • Is the design suitable enough that it will work even if it doesn’t match the color scheme of what you like?
  • If I personally were to use/buy your product and or service today can I get the results that I need?
  • Do you think you can start today and get something out there?

If you answered yes to all the above questions, then ask yourself this now: What is holding you back?

Find that answer out and deeply think about it… is that just another excuse?

Making money online and marketing in general is a business and should be treated as one.  Any time you delay you are taking away money from yourself and to me that just aint cool.  I never said this was going to be easy.  This will take some time and dedication but once you start it will become habit.

So do what you gotta do and post any comment below of what problems you THINK you may have and let’s see if I or my readers can help ya out.
